Roofing Company in Cheyenne, WY
We do roofing and exterior work in Cheyenne, residential and commercial. These roofs take wind through the cold months and hail in the middle of summer, and we look at what both have done.
What Backs the Work in Cheyenne

We're veteran owned, and we're GAF Master Elite certified. That's what lets GAF's enhanced warranties, the Golden Pledge among them, go on a qualifying roof system.
When wind or hail is what caused the damage, we send your insurer the estimate in the format it reads. When the scope comes back short, we take it back to them. That's our work, not yours.
One thing worth doing before you hire anybody here: ask every roofer bidding your job which license they hold for work in Cheyenne.
The Parts of Cheyenne We Work In

Cheyenne sits where two interstates cross, and the city spreads out from that crossing rather than from one center. We work all of it.
- Downtown and the blocks around the capitol.
- The Lincolnway corridor, running east to west through the middle of town.
- The north side out along Dell Range Boulevard.
- The older residential districts near the historic core, where the houses are a century old and the rooflines are complicated.
- The west side, out toward the air force base.

Our service area runs down into Colorado, and these are the cities in it nearest the state line.
Two Seasons on a Cheyenne Roof
Most places get one storm season. Cheyenne gets two, and they don't overlap. The wind runs through the cold half of the year and is at its worst in midwinter. Hail and thunderstorms belong to midsummer. So a roof that came through July without a mark can still lose shingles in February. And a roof patched up after a February gale can take hail six months later.
- The cold season is a wind season. Shingles lift and go, edges and ridges work loose, and the damage is usually invisible from the ground. The gap between events is often days rather than months. Getting the roof closed up matters more than the date on the calendar.
- Midsummer is a hail season. Hail bruises and fractures a roof surface without necessarily opening it. That's why a roof can fail a year after the storm that actually did the damage.
The wind season is the one that catches people out. A roof can lose seal strips, edges and ridges over a bad weekend and still look untouched from the sidewalk, so plenty of Cheyenne homeowners only find out months later. Here's how we handle that:
- We get on the roof. A look from the ground or from a ladder doesn't settle it, and in this wind it settles even less.
- We photograph what we find, so you're looking at your own roof instead of at our opinion.
- We look at the gutters, siding, paint and screens in the same visit. Wind-driven hail hits those on the way past.
- We tell you whether it looks like an insurance job or one you're paying for. That comes before we ask you for anything.
The point of two visits is a record of the roof after each season instead of a guess after one of them. You get photographs of the edges and ridges, which is where wind actually starts, rather than a verdict from the sidewalk. The gutters, siding and paint get read at the same time. If it's a claim, the estimate leaves here in the format your insurer reads, and we go back when the scope comes up short. If it isn't, you find that out before we ask you for anything.
Everything We Work On in Cheyenne
Residential Roofing
Roof Replacement
Cheyenne roofs deal with wind on a scale most of the country never sees. A lot of the housing here is detached and exposed on all four sides, so wind decides more about the roof we put on than it would anywhere further south.Learn moreRoof Repair
After a hard wind weekend most calls here are repair-shaped. Lifted or missing shingles, an edge or a ridge that has started to let go, a section peeled back. Getting it closed up matters more than the calendar. In the cold season the next event is often days away, not months.Learn moreRoof Inspection
Wind damage here rarely shows from the sidewalk. Hail damage can sit on a roof for a year before it lets water through. So we get up after either season, photograph the edges, the ridges and the field, and tell you what moved and what held.Learn moreStorm and Hail Damage
Two seasons and two kinds of damage. We check whether hail was actually reported at your address. Then we document what we find and write the estimate in the format your insurer reads.Learn moreEmergency Roof Repair
Shingles gone in a gale, water coming through a ceiling, something opened up that can't wait. We get it closed up and dry first, and work out the permanent repair after.Learn more
Commercial Roofing
Commercial Roof Replacement
Cheyenne is a capital city with a real downtown, so the commercial stock runs from old brick to newer single story buildings. Wind is what makes the job different. How a flat roof is held down at the edges matters more here than almost anywhere else we work. What is already on the building decides whether a new roof goes over it or the old one comes off first.Learn moreCommercial Roof Repair
Wind gets under a loose edge on a flat roof, works at it across a season, and creases the surface behind it. That is where a lot of repairs here begin, along with seams and anything cut through the roof. We walk the whole thing and follow the water back rather than sealing whatever sits closest to the stain.Learn moreCommercial Roof Maintenance
Spring and fall damage reports, on commercial buildings only. Two seasons do the damage here, hail in one and sustained wind in the other. So the two visits are looking for different things. You get photographs of what is up there and a plain note on what moved since last time.Learn more
Exteriors
Gutter Installation
Wind here drives debris into gutters that a calmer place would never put there. It also pushes water sideways off a roof edge. We size, hang and fasten new gutters for what actually happens to them here.Learn moreGutter Repair
Hail dents aluminum, and sustained wind works hangers loose over a season rather than in one event. A gutter pulling away at one end is usually a repair.Learn moreSiding
Wind-driven hail hits a wall harder than falling hail does. On the older side of Cheyenne there's a lot of painted wood to hit. Damage you can see from the yard is evidence about a roof you can't.Learn moreWindows
Hail rarely breaks a pane. It fractures the seal between the panes, and the fogging shows up weeks later. A window that looked fine the day after the storm proves nothing. We install replacement windows in Cheyenne.Learn moreExterior Painting
Wind, grit and sun are hard on paint here. A marked or pitted wall is usually the first thing anyone notices after a storm. We paint exteriors in Cheyenne.Learn more
What Cheyenne Customers Say
Adam Mayka
Josh with Semper Fi came to look at my roof after the most recent hail storm and couldn’t have been nicer. He was honest, thorough, and explained everything about the inspection process in great detail. His attention to detail and communication made it a very comfortable experience. Albeit we don’t need a new roof, when that time does come I will be using Semper Fi and I will recommend them to all of my friends and neighbors

Was very responsive. I was able to get what was needed in regards to our roof inspections on three houses quickly. And worked with our insurance agent getting the right information needed for our insurance needs. If you’re looking for someone that knows roofs and you need inspections or confirmations regarding your roof. Highly would recommend recommend this company

We had Semper Fi Restoration Inc. complete the roof on our 10,000 sq. ft. commercial building, and we had a great experience from start to finish. We had the opportunity to meet Joshua Bosley and worked mainly with Leo, our project manager. Leo’s communication throughout the entire project was top-notch. As with any large commercial roofing project, we ran into a few unexpected snags along the way, but the Semper Fi team stepped up and took care of every issue with no questions asked. They stood behind their work, kept us informed, and made sure everything was handled properly. It’s refreshing to work with a company that takes responsibility and follows through on what they promise. We are very happy with the finished roof and would definitely recommend Semper Fi Restoration Inc. to anyone looking for a dependable and professional roofing company. Thank you to Joshua, Leo, and the entire Semper Fi team for a job well done!

There are a lot of Roofing Contractors out there so when I was referred Josh and his team by a close friend I knew there must be something different about them. From the first meeting with Josh and Daniel I felt comfortable and at ease. I had a lot of questions and they answered them without hesitation and in extreme detail which I appreciated. They helped me through the entire insurance journey and made sure I was covered before any work was done which helped lift that burden off my shoulders. Also, you will not find a Owner as diligent as Josh when it comes to QA/QC of the work done by his crews making sure the roof/gutters you get are up to HIS standards. I appreciate Josh and Daniel for getting the work done and definitely exceeded all my expectations. I don't usually write reviews but their work deserves some praise, I will definitely be referring them anytime I hear anyone I know is even thinking of getting or needing a new roof.

I wanted to take a moment to leave a review for Josh and his team at Semper Fi Restoration. Josh came out the same day we called to provide an estimate and inspect our roof, and a member of his team completed the repairs first thing the very next morning. We truly appreciated the quick turnaround, excellent customer service, and quality workmanship in repairing the damage to our roof. The entire process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. I highly recommend Semper Fi Restoration to anyone looking for a reliable and responsive roofing company!

When my insurance refused to pay for my hail damaged roof, Semper Fi worked with my insurance to successfully get them to pay. They helped me with the entire process and communicated well. They were always available if I had questions. Their crew did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend this company.

I had a fantastic experience with Leo at Semper Fi Restoration Inc. He recently completed some roof repairs for me, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Leo was professional, honest, responsive, and clearly takes pride in his work. He explained everything thoroughly, showed up on time, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The quality of the repairs was excellent, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about doing the job right. It’s hard to find contractors you can truly trust, but Leo absolutely earned my confidence. Josh Bosley and Semper Fi Restoration recently completed hail damage work on our residence. Josh handled EVERYTHING with our insurance company. The work was completed on time, as promised. Clean-up was great. Josh came back and guaranteed we were happy with everything - including fixing two small areas that we felt needed additional work. He ensured we were 100% happy prior to moving on. He was a great communicator, very patient with us, and made us extremely happy that we chose him and Semper Fi. I rarely leave reviews - but would highly recommend him. Final note, our insurance agent recommended him to us and he was as great as advertised.

Josh is absolutely amazing, his service and follow-up is thr best I have ever experienced. The thing that really impressed me was his honesty after inspection, he shared that I didn't need a new roof. There are very few companies with that level of honesty. He has earned a customer for life.

Leo Jett was fabulous! He walked me through every step of the process and made this a great experience. His customer service was more than I could have hoped for. After spending 25 years in the HOA business, Semper Fi would be a contractor I would recommend to anyone needing a new roof.

Common Questions about Roofing in Cheyenne
What happens if my insurance company denies the claim after I have signed?
In Wyoming you have three business days to cancel. The clock runs from the later of signing, or being told in writing that the claim was denied. That's state law, and it applies to any contractor working on your roof, siding or gutters after a storm. Us included.
Can a roofer pay my insurance deductible?
No, and in Wyoming it's against the law. Anyone offering it is telling you something about how they work.
Do you do commercial roofing in Cheyenne?
Yes, and it's different work from a house. Flat and membrane commercial roofs are their own conversation.
How can I check for wind damage without going up there?
From the ground, look along the ridge and the edges for shingles that have lifted or gone. Check the yard for pieces that have blown down. That is as far as it goes. Wind damage is hard to see from below, and a frozen roof is no place to go looking for it. Let us get up there instead.
