What does a roof inspection cost in Aurora?
Nothing. The inspection is free, and so is the estimate that follows it. That's true whether the job turns into an insurance claim or something you pay for yourself.
Do you look at anything besides the roof?
Yes, and it is deliberate. A hailstorm reaches the downspouts, the wall cladding, the screens and the paintwork, and those usually carry the more obvious marks. Anything nobody checks does not end up in the file, and it does not get paid for either.
My subdivision has an HOA. Does that affect the inspection?
Not the inspection itself. It can affect what goes back on, if you are changing the material or the color. The photographs and the estimate are what an association usually wants to see, so you end up holding the right paperwork either way.
Do I have to be there while somebody is on the roof?
Most of the work happens outside, so you are not needed on a ladder or standing in the driveway for it. It is worth being reachable towards the end, though, because the useful part is us sitting down and going through the photographs with you. Plenty of Aurora works somewhere else during the day, and that is normal here rather than a problem.
What happens once the inspection is done?
You get shown the photographs and told what they mean. If insurance is involved, we write the estimate in the format your carrier reads.
